Before you sign
Edition updated 9 Oct 2026 · Indicative, confirmed in your written quote
Before you sign: our terms in plain English
Minimum term, notice period, auto-renewal, what you pay if you stop early, what you own and what we hand over when you leave: stated here before you ask, in the same words as the contract and the pricing page.
The terms
6 rows · the same words as the contract and the pricing page
Six rows, read once
This is the page the previously burned business owner is looking for, so it comes before the sales copy rather than after it. Six rows, each read from the single record our pricing board and our contract use, so the three can never disagree. If something below is not clear, ask before you sign; if something in a contract we send you differs from this page, this page is wrong and we will correct it. These terms are proposed and are confirmed in writing before you sign.
| Term | What it means for you |
|---|---|
| Minimum term | None. Month to month. |
| Notice period | 30 days’ written notice, including in month one. |
| Auto-renewal | No. Nothing renews for a fixed term, because there is no fixed term: the retainer runs month to month until either side gives notice, and we do not need to remind you of a renewal date because there is not one. |
| What you pay if you stop early | No exit fee. Everything from month one is yours to keep. Invoices are monthly in advance; a month started is paid for and nothing beyond it. There is no standing order requirement and no setup fee. |
| What you own | Accounts, content and links are created in your name. That means your Google Business Profile, Google Analytics, Search Console, Tag Manager, ad accounts, domain, hosting, website files, content, images, dashboards and every link we earn: all in your name, with us as a delegated user while we work. |
| What we hand over when you leave, and how fast | Everything from the row above, plus the written audit, the search map, the roadmap and the report history, within five working days of your last day. Our delegated access is removed at the same time. |
Access and scope
Delegated access only; we never ask for a password
How we access your accounts
We never ask for passwords. We ask for delegated access to Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console and your Google Business Profile, in each case as a user you can see and remove at any time, and we show you how to grant it. The same applies to your website: a user account in your name on your CMS or hosting, never your own login. If anyone claiming to be us asks for a password, they are not us.
Two guides walk through the accounts you will be asked to share and what each one is for: the Google Business Profile guide and what to expect from SEO reporting. The contract-level questions, and the answers you should expect from any agency, are in SEO contracts and guarantees.
What is not covered by a retainer
Paid media spend, website builds and redesigns, photography and video shoots, and any placement that has to be paid for. Each is quoted separately and in writing before any work starts, and none appears on an invoice you were not told about.
Price
The price you sign at is held for your first twelve months. Prices are exclusive of VAT and invoiced monthly in advance. The figures and what each tier includes are on the pricing page.
