SEO training in London

Practical SEO training for the people who will do the work afterwards: your marketing team, your content writers, your developers or the founder who does all three. At your office, online or at Tower 42 by appointment, with your own site, your own Search Console and your own competitors as the worked examples.

Who it is for

3 London scenarios

Who this is for in London

SEO training is for a London business that wants the knowledge inside the building: a team that can brief an agency and judge the work, or do the work itself, or hold its own against a larger competitor without a retainer it cannot yet justify. It is for people who will touch the site afterwards, because training people who will not is a pleasant day with no result.

  • A marketing team of four at a fintech in Canary Wharf. They write the content, a development agency owns the site, and nobody in the room can tell whether the SEO agency’s monthly report is good or bad. They do not need to do SEO; they need to understand it well enough to direct it.
  • A founder-led homeware brand in Hackney Wick with one marketing executive, a Shopify store and more product ideas than budget. The founder has read enough to be dangerous. A day on collections, product pages and the searches London shoppers make would replace months of guessing.
  • A dental group with practices in Clapham, Balham and Streatham and a marketing coordinator who manages three Google Business Profiles, the website and the reviews. She needs local search, the profile and the review process explained once, properly, with her own profiles open.

It is not right for you if nobody will have time to act on it afterwards; then the money is better spent on having the work done. It is also not the right route if what you want is a senior person in the room every month rather than a day of teaching: that is consultancy, and we will point you there.

What you get

A review of your site before the day
We look at your site, your Search Console and your two nearest competitors first, so the agenda is built around your gaps rather than a generic syllabus.
A half-day or full-day workshop
At your office, online or at Tower 42 by appointment. Up to a team of twelve so everyone can work on a real page, not watch slides.
Your site as the worked example
Every exercise uses your pages, your Search Console data and your market. The team leaves having fixed something, not having heard about fixing something.
Modules chosen for your team
Foundations, technical, content, local search and Google Business Profile, AI search, and measurement. You pick the depth for each; we tell you what we think you need.
A 90-day action list
Written on the day with the team: what to fix, in what order, who owns it, and how to tell whether it worked.
Slides, recording and reading list
The slides as a PDF, a recording of the online sessions, and the guides on this site matched to each module, so the team can go back to any point.
A follow-up call at 30 days
Thirty minutes with the trainer to answer what came up when the team tried to apply it, and to re-rank the list if the data has moved.
Honest advice on what to outsource
Some work is worth learning and some is not. We say which, including when the answer is that your team does not need us again.

Process

How it works

  1. 01

    Brief

A 30-minute call: who is in the room, what they already do, what the business wants from search, and what has been tried before.

  2. 02

    Review

We read your site, your Search Console and your competitors, and send an agenda built around what we found.

  3. 03

    Teach

The workshop, with your pages open. Each module ends with the team doing the thing on your site, not on an example.

  4. 04

    Apply

The 90-day action list, written with the team on the day, with an owner against every item.

  5. 05

    Follow up

A call at 30 days to answer questions and re-rank the list. Ongoing support is available if you want it, and unnecessary for many teams.

In detail

Edition updated 9 Oct 2026

How we do it

The day is built around your site. Before it, we review your pages, your Search Console and your two nearest competitors, and we send an agenda that names the gaps we found. On the day, every module ends with the team doing the thing on a real page: rewriting a title, reading a crawl, fixing a Business Profile category, checking which queries a page actually appears for. People remember what they did far longer than what they were told.

The modules, in the order most teams need them. Foundations: how Google finds, reads and ranks a page, and what that means for the way you work, with the glossary as the reference. Technical: crawling, indexing, speed and structured data, taught against your own site with the technical checklist, pitched for marketers or for developers depending on who is in the room. Content: how to find the searches your London customers make, how to map them to pages, how to write a page that earns the click and the enquiry, following the content guide. Local search and Google Business Profile: the profile, citations, reviews and location pages, for any business chosen on the map, with the local SEO guide and the profile guide. AI search: how Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Gemini describe businesses, what you can and cannot influence, and how to track it, with the AI search explainer. Measurement: Search Console and GA4 read properly, what a good monthly report contains and what to be suspicious of, using the reporting guide.

London is written into every module because the examples are yours. A clinic in Marylebone, a plumber in Croydon and a software company in Shoreditch do not need the same day, and the agenda says so. We show where your site appears from a London postcode for the five searches that matter to you, which of them you can realistically win and which are a year away, and we are honest about both.

Who teaches it: Muhammad Ali, our SEO Specialist, leads the day, connecting search intent, technical foundations and local visibility into a practical plan the team can carry. Muhammad Abubakar, Full-Stack Developer and Lead, teaches the technical module when developers are in the room. Ayesha Jahangir, Generative AI Expert, contributes to the AI search module. Momna Imran, Communications and Audit, makes complex findings understandable and keeps every recommendation grounded in evidence people can inspect. The whole team is named and pictured, so you know who is coming before the day.

What changes and when

The training itself takes a day or a half-day. What it changes depends entirely on what the team does afterwards, which is why the day ends with a 90-day action list with an owner against every item rather than a certificate. The follow-up call at 30 days exists to catch the point where the list has stalled, because it usually has.

Once the team starts acting on the list, the timing is the same as for any search work: Technical fixes are usually re-crawled within two to eight weeks. Local search changes often show within one to three months. Competitive London head terms usually take six to twelve months. These are typical ranges from our own work, not a promise for your site, and we report progress every month so you can see which it is.

We do not guarantee that training produces rankings, because the people doing the work are yours, not ours. What we guarantee is the day as described: the pre-review, the agenda built on it, the modules agreed, the action list and the follow-up call. If any of those is missed for a reason within our control, the fee for that part is credited.

How it is measured

Training is measured by what gets done. At 30 days we go through the action list with you: items completed, items blocked and why, and what Search Console shows for the pages that were changed. At 90 days we ask you to do the same without us, using the report format the team learned. Where it comes from: your own Search Console, GA4 and Business Profile, so the measurement is yours and does not depend on us. We do not measure training by a satisfaction score on the day, which tells you about the lunch rather than the result.

What it costs to find out

Start with The free SEO audit, free, delivered within two working days. An SEO specialist reviews your site by hand: where you appear today for the five searches that matter, your Business Profile against your two nearest competitors, the technical blockers, the content gap and the three fixes that matter most, each with a plain-English instruction. It doubles as the pre-course review, so the agenda starts from real gaps, and it ends with an honest paragraph on fit, including whether training, a retainer or neither is the right next step.

Training is priced per group and per day, not per head, and quoted in writing after the brief. There is no published course price yet: what the day costs depends on its length, whether it is at your office, online or at Tower 42, how many modules you want and whether developers need their own session. The pricing page explains how we price everything else, and the cost guide puts the London market in context with its sources.

Common mistakes we see on London sites

  • Sending one junior to a generic course and expecting the site to change. The person learns the theory, comes back to a CMS nobody will give them access to, and the day evaporates.
  • Training the marketing team on technical SEO while the development agency that controls the site is not in the room, so every fix becomes a ticket that waits.
  • No Search Console or GA4 access for the people who are supposed to act on the data, or accounts owned by a former agency.
  • A course built around head terms like "accountant London" when the searches the business can win are "accountant Wimbledon" and "self assessment accountant SW19".
  • Treating AI search as a separate discipline with its own tricks, when the pages that earn an AI citation are the same clear, well-evidenced pages that rank.
  • A great day and no time booked afterwards. Without hours in the diary for the action list, nothing happens, and the training is blamed.

How it fits with other services

Training sits between doing it yourself and hiring us to do it. If you want a one-off diagnosis to act on, the SEO audit gives the team a ranked list without the day. If you want senior direction every month with your team doing the work, consultancy with Hassan Pasha and the senior team is that. If the team is going to own the site’s technical health, the technical SEO page describes what they are taking on. Content teams usually pair the day with the SEO content approach, and teams worried about AI search should read the AI search optimisation page before the day so the questions are sharp. For businesses below the budget for any of this, the DIY guide and the scorecard are free and will take you a long way.

Questions

9 questions

SEO training: questions answered

Who teaches the course?
Muhammad Ali, our SEO Specialist, leads the day. Muhammad Abubakar, Full-Stack Developer and Lead, teaches the technical module when developers attend, and Ayesha Jahangir, Generative AI Expert, contributes to the AI search module. All of them are named and pictured on the team page, so you know who is coming.
Is it in person or online?
Either. We come to your office anywhere in London, run it online in two or three shorter sessions, or host it at Tower 42 by appointment. In person works better for the hands-on exercises; online works better for teams spread across sites or for a technical module that developers join from their desks.
How many people can attend?
Up to twelve for a workshop, so everyone can work on a real page and ask questions. Larger groups can be split into a marketing day and a technical day. For a single person, consultancy or a shorter session is usually better value than a full workshop.
Do we need technical knowledge first?
No. The agenda is pitched at the people in the room. Marketers get the technical module in plain English with the questions to ask a developer; developers get the version with the crawl open. We find out who is coming at the brief and adjust.
Do we get a certificate?
You get a written summary of what was covered and who attended, the slides and the recording. We do not issue a qualification recognised by any outside body, and we would not want you to choose a course on that basis. Choose it on whether the team can do something afterwards that it could not do before.
Can you train our agency, or our client-facing team?
Yes. We train in-house teams, and we also deliver SEO for other agencies under their brand, which is described on the white label SEO page. If you want your account managers to understand what they are selling, the day is built for that.
Will you still do the work for us afterwards?
If you want. Many teams take the training to brief and judge an agency better, and some of them choose us. Some leave able to do it themselves, and we tell them so. The day is not a sales pitch, and the action list is written for your team to own.
What drives the price?
Length (half-day or full day), where it is held, how many modules you want and at what depth, whether developers need a separate session, and the pre-review of your site. It is priced per group, not per head, and quoted in writing after the brief. No price is published yet.
How soon will we see results from what we learned?
That depends on what the team does and how quickly. Technical fixes are usually re-crawled within two to eight weeks; local changes often show within one to three months; competitive London head terms usually take six to twelve months. Those are typical ranges from our own work, not a promise, and your own Search Console will show which range you are in.
