Haringey is divided by more than the railway line through Hornsey. East of it, Wood Green and Tottenham are dense, busy and changing fast: Wood Green High Road and its shopping centre, Tottenham High Road from Seven Sisters to the stadium, the new housing around Tottenham Hale. West of it, Crouch End, Muswell Hill and Highgate are village high streets with independent shops, cafes and family services, where the competition is quieter and the customer searches with more care. Green Lanes and Harringay sit in between, with one of London’s best-known clusters of Turkish and Kurdish restaurants. A business on each side of the borough competes with different neighbours for a different customer, and we treat them as different markets.
We deliver the work from our office at Tower 42, 25 Old Broad Street, in the City (EC2N 1HN), by appointment. We do not have a Haringey office, a local number or a separate north London team, and we will not pretend to. The people named on this site visit clients across London, so the first meeting can be at your premises in Wood Green, Tottenham or Crouch End, by video or at Tower 42, whichever suits you. Call +44 7435 755127 and a person answers during office hours.
The postcode districts in the borough are N4 (Harringay, Stroud Green and the Haringey side of Finsbury Park), N6 (the Haringey side of Highgate), N8 (Crouch End and Hornsey), N10 (Muswell Hill), N11 (the Bounds Green edge), N15 (South Tottenham and Seven Sisters), N17 (Tottenham and Tottenham Hale) and N22 (Wood Green, Alexandra Palace and Bowes Park). Places we write for include Wood Green High Road, Tottenham High Road, Tottenham Hale, Seven Sisters, Bruce Grove, Crouch End Broadway, Muswell Hill Broadway, Highgate, Harringay, Green Lanes, Finsbury Park, Hornsey, Alexandra Palace, Bounds Green and Stroud Green.
Wikipedia notes that Haringey is "classified by some definitions as part of Inner London, and by others as part of Outer London", and that it shares borders with six boroughs: Enfield, Waltham Forest, Hackney, Islington, Camden and Barnet. That inner-outer ambiguity is exactly what you see in search: Tottenham behaves like an inner London market and Muswell Hill like an outer one.
How local search works here
Wood Green and Tottenham have a lot of businesses in a small space and a population that changes faster than the west of the borough. Searches are frequent and practical: a plumber, a dentist, an MOT, a nursery, a solicitor. New residents around Tottenham Hale and the stadium have no habits yet, and the business whose listing is complete and current is the one they find first. The map pack here is decided by proximity and completeness, and most listings are still incomplete.
Crouch End, Muswell Hill and Highgate search differently. The customer is often a resident choosing a service for a family, searching from home, reading the website before calling and comparing two or three options. Here the Business Profile gets you on the shortlist and the website wins the call. Highgate straddles Haringey and Camden, and a Highgate business should set its service area around Highgate, Muswell Hill and Hampstead rather than around the borough; the Hampstead page covers the Camden side.
Green Lanes between Manor House and Turnpike Lane is a restaurant cluster where a dozen listings look identical on a map and the decision is made on photographs, the last month’s reviews and whether the menu online matches the one on the door. It is also a border: Harringay customers come from Hackney and Islington as readily as from Haringey, and the service area should say so.
When we looked at the search results for SEO in Haringey on 9 October 2026, we found only one page written specifically about the borough, and it was a cost listing rather than an agency page. That thin market is good news for you, because the same is almost certainly true in your own category: most of your competitors across Wood Green, Tottenham and Crouch End have never written a page about the place they work in. The ones with the strongest review profiles earned them over years, and we do not shortcut that; we grow yours steadily and win the specific searches they are not writing for.

The pattern is the point. One Haringey business rarely needs to win all five kinds of search. It needs to know which kind its customers use and build for that first. The free review tells you which.

How we approach ranking here
The method is the same across London and the detail is local. Our guide to ranking in your London borough sets it out step by step; here is how it applies in Haringey.
Five things to check on your Google Business Profile today: primary category; service area set to your neighbourhood and its neighbours, across borough lines where your customers cross them; opening hours including match days near the stadium; photographs from the last 90 days; a reply to your last five reviews. If any is missing, that is the first fix, and it is free.
Local London
A business can be first in Barnet and invisible in Enfield, two miles away. This guide explains why ranking in London is decided borough by borough and often street by street, which place names to build around, how to write area pages that help rather than harm, and how to measure what each borough is sending you.
