The best SEO agencies in London (2026), compared honestly

This page is written by an agency that appears in the table below. We say so first because none of the agency-written "best SEO agencies" lists we read on the way to writing it does. We have put ourselves in alphabetical order, in the same columns as everyone else, and left our gaps showing.

Method

Checked 9 October 2026 · corrected on request

What we checked, and what we did not

What we checked, for every agency, on 9 October 2026: the Companies House entry; the London address and phone number the agency publishes; whether a monthly price is published anywhere on the site and what the lowest one is; what the published contract terms say about minimum term and notice; the review count and rating on Clutch, read directly from the profile on the day, with Trustpilot noted where a profile exists; and the specialism the agency states in its own words. We did not rate the quality of anyone’s work, because we have no way to measure it from the outside.

How the figures were read. Where a site could be fetched we read the live page. Three sites (Bird Marketing, Absolute Digital Media and Minty Digital) return a bot challenge to automated reads, so their on-site facts come from archived copies of their own pages, each dated in the row. Review counts always come from the platform itself, never from a badge or strip on the agency’s site, because several of those strips were out of date when we compared them.

How to read the table. A blank review figure means we could not verify one, not that there are no reviews. "Not published" means the agency does not print a monthly price anywhere we could read. "Unverified" lists claims the agency or a directory makes that we could not confirm; it is not an accusation, it is a gap in what can be checked from outside. Each row links the pages behind it: the agency’s own site, its Companies House entry where one exists and the review platforms we read, with the date. We will correct any cell an agency shows us is wrong.

A note on our own row. We have no verified platform rating yet, our prices are indicative until approved and our terms are proposed. That is the honest position for a London brand whose UK company was incorporated on 2 September 2024. We would rather show that than a strip of stars we have not earned.

How to use this

6 questions · they apply to us too

Questions to ask any agency, including us

  1. Ask for the contract before the proposal, and read the minimum term, the renewal clause and what happens if you pause.

  2. Ask who will do the work month to month, by name, and where they are based.

  3. Ask what you own: the Google accounts, the content, the links, the dashboard, and how handover works if you leave.

  4. Ask for the lowest monthly price they sell at, in writing, and what it includes in month one.

  5. Ask them to show a client’s public listing or Search Console, not a badge or an average uplift figure.

  6. Ask which review platform they are on and open it yourself; compare the count and the dates with what the site says.

Our own answers are on the site: the terms on Before you sign, the people on the team page, what you own on the pricing page, and every result with its source on the case studies.

About this comparison

Why is your own agency in a comparison you wrote?
Because leaving it out would make the page a sales pitch in disguise. We appear in alphabetical order, in the same columns as everyone else, and our row says what we do not yet have: a verified review rating, approved prices and signed-off terms. If you find a cell about us that is wrong or flattering, tell us and we will correct it.
Why do you show Clutch counts rather than Google reviews?
Clutch profiles could be read directly on the day for every agency, so the figures are comparable. Google review counts for agencies were harder to confirm: several sites print a Google figure that we could not tie to a Google listing, and those figures are listed as unverified rather than in the table. Trustpilot counts are noted where a profile exists.
What does "not published" mean in the price column?
That the agency does not print a monthly price anywhere we could read, on its own pages or in its page code. Several of those agencies ask for your budget in an enquiry form instead, and where that is the case we give the lowest budget option so you know the range they expect. A published price is not a sign of quality either way; it just tells you what you can learn before a call.
What does "unverified" mean?
A claim the agency or a directory makes that we could not confirm from the source it points to: a review count whose platform we could not read, an award with no awarding body linked, a certification shown only as an image. It is not a judgement on the claim. It tells you which questions to ask the agency directly.
How should I use this table to choose?
Shortlist two or three agencies whose specialism matches your business, then ask each for its contract, its lowest published price and the name of the person who would run your account. Ask us for the same. Compare the written answers rather than the websites, and check any review count yourself on the platform before you weigh it.
